•The NBR Service

Many stolen bikes and scooters are recovered by police but there is no way to identify the owner. With the NBR service, you can register your bicycle or scooter by serial number in the NBR national database and apply the special label you receive to your bike or Trikke. If your bike or Trikke is ever stolen, it can be identified and you can prove ownership.

Law Enforcement anywhere can access the NBR database, advise NBR that your bike has been recovered, and you can be notified immediately. •NBR GUARANTEE

NBR guarantees your registration. If your bike is stolen and not recovered by police within 6 months, NBR will register your next bike for free and the stolen bike information will remain in the database until the bike is recovered no matter how long it takes.

•THE NBR DATABASE

Information about your bicycle or Trikke is stored for the life of the registration in the NBR state of the art database. The NBR database can be searched by police using the serial number stamped on the bike or Trikke by the manufacturer. Even if someone has been able to remove part of the label, your bike can be identified by serial number. The police can also search the database by make, model, color, and frame size, if the manufacturer’s serial number has been altered.

NBR is working with Law Enforcement Agencies nationwide so that no matter where a bike is stolen or where it is recovered, it can be returned to you. NBR has maintained its database since 1984 and continues to use the latest technology to improve the service and expand police connectivity.

Be sure to also warranty register your Trikke at the following link. Keep in mind that registering your Trikke serial number with Trikke is ONLY for warranty registration. If the police find your stolen Trikke then chances are they WON'T call Trikke to see who the owner is. The NBR is part of most police departments lost and found process. If your Trikke isn't registered with NBR and it's recovered by the police then chances are it will likely end up in a police auction.

•WHAT YOU GET AND WHAT TO DO

You will receive in the mail, or in your order if ordering other products from our site, a packet that looks like the image to the right. Inside is 2 labels, one for your bike or Trikke and the other for a personal item like cell phone, luggage tag etc. Included will be detailed instructions on where and how to register your bike or Trikke. The where is at http://boomerangit.com/nbr . You'll be required to create your login so you can register your labels and associate the NBR ID number with the serial number of your item. A serial number isn't required so if you're bike or Trikke doesn't have a serial number you'll still be able to uniquely register it. At the bottom-right of the instructions will be an "Activation Code" when asked. From there you will follow the rest of the instructions and registration on the BoomerrangIt website.
